Should college basketball players leave school early for the NBA?
Being educated is something that can never be taken from you. You earned that degree, its yours, no one can deny you that. Get the degree first, then play ball. Who cares if you make millions of dollars in the NBA, if you can't even balance your checkbook.

As much as I want to agree, I think that most of these guys have SO MUCH riding on a dream to get paid in the NBA (Or any professional sports, really)--their families are investing everything in it, that they can't NOT decide to go as early as possible. Honestly, its our "wisdom" that makes it seem so much more rational to go to school, but they really have their lives ahead of them and can see college later...heck, I make better grades at 31 with two jobs, a family, and volunteer work to do than I did when all I had to be worried about was school...
Now, my issue is rapping about all this material wealth, having all this material wealth, but not having any investments to carry you over when the music career (or whatever) is over...that image carries over to our children, who don't see investments or saving--they only see spending and spending and spending and spending.

No. They should get their degrees, then the NBA and go back to school to get more, once they better figure out what they want to do with their lives.
