I am blessed to have a job waiting for me. I am blessed that I have the ability to get up and go to work. But the Thursday night before my first day back to work, I was dealing with a great deal of anxiety. Why? I don't know. Maybe because I know God has a bigger plan for me. I was actually nervous about having to deal with people again and leave that much needed break. The time off allowed me, not only to catch up on my tv watching, but to think about 'me'. I realized that I was getting caught up in the rat race and the finish line was no where in site.
I started listening more to Joel Osteen (www.joelosteen.com) and Joyce Meyer (http://www.joycemeyer.org/). They are not your traditional, in your face, lay hands on you, sweating profusely southern baptist preachers; but they do preach and teach the Word. I highly recommend giving them a try. Don't get me wrong, I like Bishop TD Jakes, but, in my opinion, don't allow tradition or race keep you from getting the Word (plus TD Jakes' tv show isn't readily available anymore). Amen.
