What I Learned from Planning my Wedding

Here is what I learned from planning my wedding...

1. People really get upset when children not allowed to attend the wedding and the reception
2. Make sure the wedding party orders the right size dresses and tuxedos
   
3. Its irritating when people ask to bring more than one guest to the engagement party when the were instructed not to
4. Its irritating when people ask to bring more than one guest to the reception
5. Groomsmen will actually wait until the last minute to get fitted for their tuxedos
6. Can't make the wedding party stay in a free hotel room
7. Families get attitudes with each other very quickly
8. Learning how to manage 1000 things at once
9. Email is the best invention ever
10. My co-workers don't like to hear about my wedding plans EVERYDAY
11. I can send email, an instant message, and talk on the phone all at the same time
12. Ordering green beans in a hotel costs too much
13. Ordering soda at a hotel costs too much
14. Nobody cares how much food costs at a wedding except for the people who are paying for it
15. My father has constantly reminded me that his wallet is now closed for business as of April 2, 2005 @ 2:31pm.
16. You really can't please everyone...especially FAMILY.
17. The most commonly heard excuse for not RSVPing on time..."I can't find the invitation"
18. The most commonly heard phrase from people who did not RSVP on time..."What day is the wedding?"
19. When hiring vendors, cheap does not mean better quality. You get what you pay for.
20. I didn't realize my co-workers missed me so much while I was gone
21. No one has a clue as to how much time and effort went into this wedding, but me and my parents...yes, not even the groom
22. We should have got married in Jamaica!!
23. I had an fabolous time at the ceremony and the reception
24. My mother is always right
25. This wedding is about you, so do what makes you happy, screw everyone else. This event will only happen once (hopefully)
